It is now 10:46pm and I am worn out after the 2nd day in Sacramento. (1st day of the conference.) So far so good. This is what happened in day number 2.
1. Had breakfast with the team.
2. General Session #1. This session was amazing. Started out with worship from Mercy Me. A few videos, a few announcemnts and then Bishop Sherwood Carthen gave the message. He was Amazing! He was very inspirational but straight to the point. He talked about how sometimes God will lead us through the wilderness to find humility and depend on Him. That not all the horrific things in life are attacks from the enemy.
3. Breakout Session #1. The X Factor. A Transformational Youth Ministry model.
Greg Stier who is president of the Dare 2 Share foundation led this seminar.
Long session short, he taught us that we need to be more Deep and Wide with the youth and not try so much to entertain them. Good sesson.
4. Dinner at a mexian restaurant in Downtown Sacramento called Tres Hermanas'.
Delicious! I think I gained 10 lbs.
5. General Session #2. Lincoln Brewster did the worship. 3 different guys spoke on 3 different topics. They took questions.
6. Talked with some different youth workers for a while.
7. Going to bed.
