I am in Sacramento for a youth pastors conference. I am pretty excited, considering this is my first conference in a few years. It will be great to get a fresh look at youth ministry and also catch up with a few friends that I never see.
We came a day early for some team building and this is what went down day 1.
1. Ate a huge breakfast at a nearby restaurant.
2. Went and toured the capital of California. I wanted to find Arnold to let him know how much I enjoyed his performance in the movie Twins. But I dont think he was there.
3. Went and ate lunch.
4. Saw the movie Lake view Terrace. Pretty stupid but somewhat entertaining.
5. Checked in for the conference.
6. Went to eat again! and watched the Dodgers lose game 1 of the series.
7. Checked out the resource center at the conference. Got a lot of free stuff and got to take a ride on the magical, mechanical unicorn named charlie while eating cotton candy and wearing a fake mustache. (there is a sentence I never thought I would say.)
8. Went back to the hotel and watched the movie Jumper. I fell asleep.
As you can see, lots of fun but much learning. We are saving that for day 2-4.
