I have a new goal. A friend was telling me about this awesome missions opportunity.
I know I dont talk about it near enough, but besides youth ministry, I have a heart and passion for missions. I have always loved traveling and serving those in need. I think that it is something that every Christian should be a part of. After all, we are all called to go out and make disciples. With that said, there is a missions opportunity called the world race. You spend a year traveling around the world and ministering to the people in each location. Now I have no idea how possible this is now that I have a job but maybe Ill find a way. The only other thing is that its 13,000 dollars. But thats nothing for a life changing experience. Here is the schedule for the entire year.
Leg 1: Matamoros, MX to Palenque, MX
Leg 2: Palenque, MX to Guatemala
Leg 3: Guatemala to Los Angeles
Leg 4: Los Angeles to China/Tibet
Leg 5: China/Tibet to Thailand
Leg 6: Thailand to Delhi, India
Leg 7: Delhi, India to Bosnia
Leg 8: Bosnia to Cairo, Eqypt
Leg 9: Cairo, Eqypt to Nairobi, Kenya
Leg 10: Nairobi, Kenya to Johannesburg, South Africa
Leg 11: Johannesburg, South Africa to Lesotho, Africa
Leg 12: Lesotho, Africa to New York

Do it Eric. Travel...explore...serve...make disciples. Don't let money stand in your way...God has lots of money. Keep praying about it and doors just might open. What an awesome experience it would be. And you could bring (me) back some pretty cool souveniers!
Do you walk from place to place? Is that why it takes a year?
